On the basis of Government edict of Russian Federation No 1465-р of 04.08.2014 the university is affiliated to the federal state autonomous educational institution of higher education “Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky” as a structural subdivision “Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky”.

The Medical Academy is located in the Crimean peninsula. With its mild and sunny climate, varied and picturesque landscape, and ancient history the Crimea is a truly unique and wonderful place of the world.

Currently students from 45 countries are studying at our Academy. We aim to offer our students an excellent education experience working closely with our university partners to ensure the quality of our education is of a very high standard.

S.I. Georgievsky’s Medical Academy is a structural subdivision of the federal state autonomous educational institution of higher education "V.I. Vernadsky’s Crimean Federal University" established by the Federal Government Order (number 1465-r of 04.08.2014).

Educational activities are carried out on the grounds of the license № 1260 from 6 February 2015 that was issued for Federal state autonomous educational institution of higher education "V.I. Vernadsky’s Crimean Federal University" by Federal service on supervision in the education and science sphere.

University has created a continuing medical education model including:

• pre-university training - preparatory department, preparatory courses;
• five departments in training for doctors-specialists and pharmacists - 1st medical, 2nd medical, international medical, dental, pharmaceutical;
• department of training medical employees of the highest qualification and additional professional education (APE) –educational programs for interns, residents, masters, refresher training and professional retraining.

38 out of 53 departments of the Academy study clinical medicine.

Specialists are trained by specialty programs: 31.05.01 "General Medicine"; 31.05.02 "Pediatrics"; 31.05.03 "Dentistry"; 33.05.01 "Pharmacy".

Masters are trained by specialty 38.04.04 "State and municipal management":

1. Master's program "State management in the field of health protection".

2. The Master's program "Management of modern health organization (institution)".

Academy’s traineeship consists of 32 licensed professions.

The university developed a comprehensive approach to organizational, scientific and methodological support of the educational process. Education level in Academy meets all requirements of modern medical institution by introducing educational films, molds, phantoms, diagnostic equipment in clinical departments and training center.

The high level of our students’ education is provided by a strong teaching staff: about 600 experts including 380 PhD and 99 Doctors of Sciences (academic title: Associate Professor - 202, Professor - 76).

Currently 4600 students are trained in Medical Academy (1660 - foreign citizens from 45 countries), 480 residents, 44 post-graduate, 86 masters (second higher education in state and municipal health management).

• Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with minimum 70% marks with PCB from any recognized board.
• As per the new rules announced by MCI, NEET qualifying is a must to study MBBS abroad.

Hostel

You will live in a student's hostel especially for Indian students. This is the hostel specially renovated as the cultural, educational and residential requirements of an Indian student studying in Russia. The rules and regulations for residing in this hostel are very strict, again from the cultural system in any Indian family. (Please read 'Rules and regulations for residing in the hostel'.) The system of residence is separate for boys and girls, 2,3 or 4 seated big rooms, upgraded comforts, central heating, full furniture with beddings, shower room, toilet, washbasin room, everyday cleaning of rooms, security guards, reception, cleaning and washing personnel, 24 hour medical center, well equipped Gymnasiums with hi-tech machines with personal trainers.

You can live in some rented flat or somewhere else but we recommend staying in hostel at least for first year. Because first of all you need a migration card with 6 years of validity where your address registration must be done (compulsory) which university hostels provides but apartment owners usually don’t want to provide you. Second you need to learn basic Russian to live outside hostel campus. Crimean local people are very friendly and respectful to foreigners as Crimea has a mix culture since beginning and they respect Indian people more because of India-Russia friendship. Even after all that hostel is the safest place to live because it provides 24hr security  for students. University has 5 government hostels in which rooms resembles as apartment. If you want to live in a apartment get migration card done from hostel first then go for apartment.

laundry

You are provided with a laundry in the hostel, where the laundry staff will wash your cloths and iron them. You just have to bring your cloths to the laundry, hand over to laundry staff, get a plastic token and after two days collect them from the laundry. Of course, there is a nominal charge for this service. 
 

sport

There is a large gamma of sport facilities for sport enthusiasts. There is a Cricket ground, where Indian students enjoy playing cricket. All sport facilities, including Tennis, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton, Table tennis, etc are available. There is a swimming pool with sauna bath in the campus. Frequent sports tournaments are organized, where Indian students participate enthusiastically.

Labs: - The institute has a well-equipped lab in the campus with modern equipment and tools.

Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab in the campus with latest computer machines and tools.

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO ANY  FOREIGN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY?

A: According to Graduate Medical Education 1997 of Medical Council of India, the minimum qualification for Indian student for admission to any Foreign Medical Institutions is as follows:

1. He/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before the 31st of December in the year of admission.

2. He/she must have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination in the subjects of  PCB- 50% AVG.

3. The candidate must qualify NEET examination.
